This charming small vintage handled vase is a true piece of Mid-Century history – made in West Germany, presumably in the 1950s or early 60s. The vase’s light base tone is traversed by fine horizontal stripes, giving it a structured appearance. The asymmetrically placed black area is adorned with a striking yellow wavy line, while three sculptural dots in red with a green gradient provide a color contrast. This gestural and abstract design is typical of the expressive post-war era and the design language of West German Art Pottery.
